Workplace Consulting for Organizations.

If the Great Resignation has demonstrated anything, it’s that workers are no longer willing to labor under the old ways of doing business. Gone are the days of remaining with an employer year after year in a workplace that doesn’t value the individual and their needs as a whole being.

It has often been said that loyalty is earned, and this has never been more true in the workplace. People are demanding more from the organizations they work for. Diversity, equity, inclusion, flexibility, autonomy, progressive policies, and community investment are now prerequisites for job seekers. A transactional relationship where a paycheck as trade for servitude is not enough. It’s time for the workplace to become more mindful, and to align itself consciously.

The idea behind the conscious business is that the same spiritual principles used on a personal level can be applied in a business setting. While the obvious sacred overtones may not be incorporated; ideas such as balance, use of energy, emotional intelligence, engagement, mindfulness, equitable treatment, personal awareness, and the peaceful & harmonious workplace is infused into the organizational culture.

What is the benefit?

Some of the benefits of taking a conscious approach to business are:

  • Creating a workplace that is genuinely invested in people

  • Happier and more engaged employees

  • Reduction in employee turnover

  • Reduction in disciplinary interactions

  • Reduction in burnout

  • Greater cohesion among teams

  • Stronger connection to clients and the community

  • Leadership is enhanced and more effective

What is Required?

For an organization to move to a conscious business model there must be commitment from leadership to reevaluate policies, practices, and culture. This includes interactions between leadership/supervisors and employees, among line staff, and the relationship and expectations between customers and the organization.

It demands a commitment to a new way of conducting operations that is authentic, profound, and honors the person performing the work and their needs first.

How does it work?

While each workplace is different, the process begins with a consultation with and leadership to determine needs, desired outcomes, timelines, process, and organizational readiness for transformation.

An appraisal of current and/or planned policies, practices and culture is conducted as well as polling and meetings with workers at all levels to gather feedback. Then, a detailed education and cultural change plan is created that is tailored to the identified needs.

Revisions to policies, practices, procedures, programs, compensation and organizational structure that bring organization into conscious alignment are completed as well as support with implementation.

Education on mindful concepts, consciously competent practices, diversity, inclusion, and equitable workplace behaviors is also conducted.
